About MyToolery

What this site is

MyToolery is a set of single-purpose utilities for the things developers do dozens of times a week and never want to think about: formatting JSON, decoding a JWT, converting a timestamp, checking a regular expression, generating a UUID, working out a subnet. Each one lives on its own page, does one job, and is usable the moment the page loads.

There are 31 tools across nine categories, and every one of them is available in seven languages. Nothing requires an account, nothing is behind a paywall, and there is no free tier that runs out.

Implementation and limits

Tool processing runs in your browser. Individual pages explain supported formats and limitations. The site also loads advertising scripts; see the privacy page for details.

Languages and corrections

The site is available in seven languages. If an explanation or translation is unclear or incorrect, report the page and a reproducible example without personal or confidential data.

Access and advertising

Tools are free to use without an account. The site is configured for Google AdSense; advertising availability depends on approval and ad serving.

Getting in touch

Corrections, bug reports and requests for tools are all welcome, and the first two are especially welcome. If a tool gives a wrong answer, that is worth knowing about quickly.
